Lot 35:
Description
This lot consists of two uncirculated coin sets from the US Mint for the year 1988, representing the Philadelphia and Denver mints. The collection includes a total of ten coins with a combined face value of $1.82. Each set contains five denominations: one cent, five cents, ten cents, twenty-five cents, and fifty cents. The cents are struck in copper-plated zinc, the nickels in cupronickel, and the dimes, quarters, and half dollars in cupronickel-clad copper. The coins feature the standard Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Washington, and Kennedy obverses. Each set includes a plastic-sealed token; the Philadelphia token is printed in blue and the Denver token is printed in brown. The reverse of both tokens is inscribed SELECTED AND PACKAGED FOR COINS MAGAZINE NUMISMATIC NEWS IOLA, WI. The coins are housed in their original transparent six-compartment plastic packaging and are accompanied by a white paper envelope printed with United States Mint Set 1988 Uncirculated Coins.
Condition report:
