Description
A pair of US Mint Proof Sets consisting of the 1981 and 1982 annual issues. The 1981 set contains six coins: a copper-nickel clad Susan B. Anthony dollar, Kennedy half dollar, Washington quarter, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, and a copper-plated zinc Lincoln cent. The 1982 set contains five coins: Kennedy half dollar, Washington quarter, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, and Lincoln cent, plus a bronze commemorative medal featuring the Seal of the Department of the Treasury. All coins bear the S mint mark, indicating production at the San Francisco Mint. The sets are housed in original government packaging consisting of red-backed hard plastic display cases with black bases and black outer presentation boxes with silver-colored script.
Condition report:
All coins are in proof condition, exhibiting frosted cameo devices and mirrored fields with no visible wear, toning, or contact marks. The plastic display cases remain intact. The original black outer boxes show minor edge wear and surface scuffing consistent with age.
