Description
A pair of footstools in the Shaker style, featuring solid wood frames with a light oak finish. Each stool is constructed with four turned legs topped with rounded finials and four turned stretchers utilizing mortise and tenon joinery. The seats are upholstered in heavy woven fabric tape in a checkerboard pattern, wrapped directly over the side rails. One stool displays a red and off-white weave, while the second stool features a light gray and off-white weave. There are no visible maker marks, stamps, or labels on the frames or the undersides of the seats.
Condition report:
Both stools are in excellent condition. The wooden frames are structurally sound and stable with minimal wear to the finish. The woven tape seats remain clean and taut, showing no signs of fraying, staining, or sagging.
