Description
A vintage Chinoiserie style table lamp featuring a cream-colored glazed ceramic base modeled as a seated Foo Dog or guardian lion. The figure rests its paw on a globe and is mounted on a rectangular pedestal. The lamp is fitted with a white fabric tapered drum shade and a brass-tone metal harp. The fixture is topped with a decorative openwork metal finial depicting the Chinese Shou character for longevity. The electrical cord is a cream-colored plastic-coated wire ending in a non-polarized two-prong plug. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the ceramic base or the electrical hardware.Tiny chip on one corner tip.It works!

Height to the top edge of the shade is approximately 28.5 inches.
Condition report:
The ceramic base has a visible chip on the rear upper corner of the pedestal (photo 6). The brown felt protective pad on the underside is worn and peeling at the edges (photo 6). The fabric shade shows minor indentations and slight creasing (photo 1). The metal hardware exhibits light oxidation and surface patina consistent with age (photo 4). The electrical functionality has not been tested; rewiring is recommended for safety.
