Description
This oil on board still life painting features an arrangement of fruit and flowers set upon a draped table against a dark, tonal background. The composition includes a central glass vase holding anemones, surrounded by clusters of green grapes, peaches, plums, and a pear. The work is executed in a realistic style typical of the late 19th or early 20th century, utilizing controlled brushwork and soft transitions. The painting is housed in a heavy, ornate gilded gesso and wood frame characterized by deep-relief foliate and scrollwork motifs. A painted signature in the lower right corner reads Majorti.

Condition report:
The painting exhibits significant craquelure across the entire surface, most prominent in the darker background passages and the central fruit grouping (photo 1). A visible horizontal crack or separation in the paint layer is located along the line where the green tablecloth meets the darker surface in the lower center (photo 3). The canvas shows a general accumulation of surface dirt. The gilded frame has minor losses to the gesso decoration and some wear to the gilded finish along the raised highlights and edges (photo 2).
