Description
A rectangular wall mirror featuring an ornate gilded frame in the Neoclassical or Rococo Revival style. The frame is constructed of wood or composition material and is decorated with prominent acanthus leaf scrollwork at each corner. Floral swags run along the rails, leading to a central cartouche with shell and scroll motifs at the top and bottom center. The inner border adjacent to the glass is finished with a beaded edge. The mirror plate is set within the frame and displays a visible silvered surface. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the front of the object.

Condition report:
The frame shows small losses and chips to the gilded finish, primarily on the raised ornamental elements (photo 1). Accumulated dust is present within the recessed areas of the carvings (photo 1). The mirror glass exhibits widespread age-related foxing, silvering degradation, and several dark oxidation spots across the central area and periphery (photo 1).
