Description
A trio of hand-turned wooden bowls of varying sizes and species, each accompanied by a three-legged wooden display stand. The first vessel is a shallow bowl featuring prominent spalted grain patterns throughout the interior and base; a rectangular white adhesive label on the underside reads BUCKEYE? NO. CAROLINA. The second vessel is a smaller, steep-sided bowl with a light-colored grain showing natural knots; a rectangular white adhesive label on the underside reads SWAMP MAPLE NO. CAROLINA. The third vessel is a deeper bowl with a uniform, darker wood grain and straight sides; a rectangular white adhesive label on the underside reads MYRTLEWOOD OREGON. All bowls exhibit a smooth, polished finish and flat bases.
Buckeye bowl: 8 inches in diameter
Myrtlewood bowl: 7.5 inches in diameter
Swamp maple bowl: 6 inches in diameter.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. Minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. Natural fissures, knots, and wood grain inclusions are present as inherent characteristics of the organic materials.
