Description
A wingback armchair in the Queen Anne style, featuring a high arched back, shaped wings, and rolled armrests. The chair is fully upholstered in a woven plaid fabric with a pattern of blue and cream-colored checks. It stands on two front wooden cabriole legs with pad feet and two rear splayed square-section legs, all finished in a reddish-brown stain. The construction includes piped seams and a loose, T-shaped seat cushion. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exposed portions of the chair.
Condition report:
The chair is in good condition with no visible tears, snags, or stains to the plaid upholstery (photo 1). The wooden legs show minor surface scuffs and light wear near the feet consistent with normal residential use (photo 2). The structural integrity appears sound.
