Description
This mixed-media belt is designed in a Southwestern concho style. The central portion features alternating metal medallions and large oval stone-style inlays. There are four reddish-brown cabochons and two light blue cabochons with white veining, each set within a silver-tone bezel featuring a twisted border. Smaller circular medallions with dark blue center stones are placed between the larger ovals. The centerpiece is a large circular sunburst-style medallion decorated with concentric rings of light blue and dark blue beads. One end of the belt consists of a silver-tone round-link chain with a hook-style clasp. The opposite end is a dark brown leather strap with adjustment holes. The leather strap is attached to a square silver-tone buckle featuring a bezel-set dark blue cabochon. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or signatures are visible on any part of the item.
Condition report:
The belt is in good condition with minor signs of wear. The dark brown leather strap shows light scuffing and creasing near the adjustment holes (photo 2). The silver-tone metal links and decorative elements exhibit light surface oxidation and patina (photo 1). All cabochons and beads are present and securely mounted.
