Description
Two vintage leather dress belts featuring decorative sterling silver buckles. One belt is crafted from medium brown leather and features a rectangular sterling silver buckle with 1/10 14K gold-filled overlays. The buckle is centered with a large, oval dark brown cabochon stone within a rope-twist border. The second belt is made of dark espresso brown leather and includes a rectangular sterling silver buckle decorated with embossed foliate scrollwork around a central unengraved shield. Hand-written notations on a whiteboard in the photographs identify the scrollwork buckle as sterling silver from Mexico and the gemstone buckle as sterling silver with 1/10 14K gold. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are readable on either item.

Condition report:
Both items are in good used condition. The medium brown leather strap shows prominent creasing, darkening, and surface wear concentrated near the adjustment holes (Photo 1). Its buckle exhibits light tarnish and minor surface scratches consistent with age (Photo 1). The dark brown leather strap displays creasing and light scuffing, particularly around the sizing holes (Photo 2). The Mexican sterling silver buckle shows a light patina and fine surface abrasions (Photo 1).
